Night Owls & Night-Shift Workers Advocacy Fund

Purpose

The Night Owls & Night-Shift Workers Advocacy Fund supports people who are active during nighttime hours. That may be due to their work, their sleep patterns, or other aspects of their lives.

These groups often face challenges that are overlooked in research, workplace policy, healthcare, and public services. The Fund supports efforts that improve health, safety, access, and equity for individuals whose schedules regularly include the night.

Scope of Funding

The Fund supports initiatives that create meaningful improvements for people living or working during nighttime hours. This includes efforts that expand access, improve conditions, strengthen knowledge, or drive long-term change.

We are open to a range of approaches, formats, and partners, provided they align with the Fund’s mission and demonstrate clear relevance to the communities we aim to support.

Funding Approach

  • A portion of each NightOwling membership is allocated to the Fund on a recurring basis.
  • Funds are managed separately from operational budgets to maintain integrity and transparency.
  • Projects are selected through a structured review process, with an emphasis on impact, alignment, and accountability.
